Homesick

Tuesday marked the first day I was homesick. I think ever. I wasn't sure what that feeling was, but I think I can name it being homesick. I guess it's probably abnormal for someone who's lived away from home for over 6 years already to just now have that feeling, but who ever labeled me as normal, right?!

These are some of the things I was/have been Nor Cal homesick for...

• Going 4wheeling and sitting on the top of a mountain spitting cherry seeds and solving the world's problems with my dad.
• Baking something that smells amazing with my mom.
• Cuddling up under a blanket with chai in hand on the couch watching a movie or catching up on life with my sister.
• Playing cards and snacking on something delicious with my grandma.
• Eating pho with Mallory and automatically getting into meaningful conversations.
• Fall colors and crisp, dry air.
• Skipping rocks in the river while hashing things out with my heavenly Father.

These are some of the things I was/have been So Cal homesick for...

• Sitting on my red carpet with Jennifer, Jen, and Cindy while sharing pizookies and discussing life.
• Worshipping with my Missio Dei family.
• Drinking boba with Nancy.
• Sharing a house with Jenn and listening to her laugh.
• Playing with and hugging my kids
• Hearing Anna's heart and living life alongside of her

So there ya go. A little glimpse into the heart that I can't figure out inside of me ;)
