The last two weeks or so have been overwhelming. I've taken my eyes off of the real purpose (and the real Person), letting the little things between here and there take my focus. In re-focusing and spending time to sit still and listen to my Father, though, He has assured me over and over of 2 things: He is my Abba who loves me, cares for me, and will be with me in every step of accomplishing His purpose for His glory; and I have to let Him refine me instead of trying on my own. Basically, trust. That's the bottom line.
So in the midst of my fear and overwhelming-ness, here's what God has done the last couple of days:
- Teaching me how to be still and quiet and listen in silence
- Randomly brought me into conversation with a lady in my church who served in Africa and she started my packing list for me before service started!
- My good friend Aimee, who has been living in SE Asia for a year, is here for a visit, and we've talked non-stop (besides sleeping) for almost 24 hours. Such an encouragement! God has welled up that excitement in me again and has driven away my fear!
Thank you, Abba, for knowing me and knowing exactly what I needed when.
trust. glad we're both learning/re-learning that. (and well done with the bullet points :)).
