A Defeated Enemy

This is taken from a book called Diplomatic Christianity written by Steven Khoury, a Palestinian Christian who serves God in the Holy Land.

"Christians around the world need a reality check, something to wake them up to the supernatural realm and help them see that Satan's power is growing stronger and his works are penetrating minds and conquering souls. It is a wonderful feeling to know that Christ has already won the war, but we must prepare the people for that victory so they don't find themselves on the losing side when the time comes. Christ's victory began here, on a cross outside the city, and it will end here, with Jesus' return. We do have an edge on Satan's plans. If we learn his strategies we can learn to Biblically counter them. The Bible teaches us in James 4:7 to 'Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.'

To defeat an enemy you must fight him on his own turf. We here in the church are learning to accept his eminent defeat and treat him like the loser he really is. Backing down or being afraid of speaking out about Christ is like treating the defeated challenger like the champion. Everyone around you has a message, a philosophy or an input, so should you." (pp. 70-71).

Let's start treating Satan like the loser he really is! I like that!
